Hello,
I own two giclee print of Tony Rome art work of Venice.
The prints are framed and also signed and numbered by Artist.
GICLEE (zhe-clay') is French for "squirt." giclee printing process involves squirting microscopic dots of ink onto fine quality art paper. The inks are actually absorbed slightly and blend to create a fine art edition of the painting. The combination of archival inks and paper yield stunning vibrancy, realism and longevity (approximately 100 years.)
Numerous examples of giclee prints can be found in New York City at the Metropolitan Museum, the Museum of Modern Art, and the Chelsea Galleries. Recent auctions of giclee prints have fetched $10,800 for Annie Leibovitz, $9,600 for Chuck Close, and $22,800 for Wolfgang Tillmans (April 23/24 2004, Photographs, New York, Phillips de Pury & Company.)
If interested please don't esitate to contact me.
