Message:	I have not seen the painting but if it is a New Orleans scene or one of Judaic motif, it is the other Franz Weiss. I met his wife in 1980 in New Orleans at their shop (he had been dead for a while). This Franz worked as an illustrator in New York for one of the magazines. She and I became friends but lost touch. She had given me some of his paints and brushes. I too am an artist (Weiss-no relation). Lynn Laughlin wrote:
