Message:	I also have two paintings we bought in 1975 from the lady who imported various artists' paintings from Europe. My info on Avel is as follows: "An Austrian Artist born in Vienna. He studied at the Academy of Art under Boeckl and Matdjka. He also studied theater Art under Pichan. Exhibitions of Avel have been shown in Rome, Paris, Zurich and Vienna. His works have been bought by the Austrian embassy in Rome and the Ministry of Defense in Paris. A painting showing the Austrian town of Wels was presented to the late President of the Austrian Republic, Dr. Adolf Schaerf. King Faruk commissioned Avel for a portrait of himself.
