Hi Joan,
I am familiar with a very famous Renoir painting entitled A Girl with a Watering Can. It is in National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C.
What you have is most likely a reproduction of that painting. You can see it on the National Gallery's website, which includes a description, history, and detailed images of selected parts of the painting.

The sentimental value may be more important to you, since it belonged to your grandparents.
If your picture depicts a different image, you may have an undiscovered masterpiece. This is extremely unlikely, but if you think it may be the case, you should have the item inspected by a professional (art appraiser, auction house, etc.)
Good luck! |
