Subject: | Indentification of artwork; possiblly Henri Fariday. |
Message: | I RECENTLY PURCHASED WHAT LOOKS LIKE A PEN & INK.
IT IS A VIEW DOWN A ROAD LINED WITH TREES ON BOTH SIDES.
THERE IS SNOW COVERING THE GROUND & WHAT LOOKS LIKE SNOW COVERED HUTS TO THE RIGHT OF THE ROAD.
THE SUNLIGHT IS A SOFT ORANGE ON THE HORIZON.
IT HAS THE OLD BROWN PAPER ON THE BACK WITH A PAPER LABEL FROM VAN WINKLES BOOK STORE 1603 ELM ST. DALLAS.
IT IS SIGNED IN WHAT LOOKS LIKE PENCIL IN THE BOTTOM RIGHT CORNER.
I BELIEVE THE FIRST NAME IS HENRI BUT CAN'T BE SURE ABOUT THE LAST NAME.
IT IS WRITTEN IN SCRIPT & A LITTLE OF THE GROUND COVER FOR THE PICTURE IS UNDER THE WRITING.
IT COULD BE A CAPITAL F OR A CAPITAL T. POSSIBLY FARIDAY.
THE LAST THREE LETTERS DEFINATELY LOOK LIKE DAY BUT I CAN'T BE SURE ABOUT THE FIRST 3 OR 4 LETTERS.
HENRI IS WRITTEN WITH THE N LOOKING LIKE A U & THE R LOOKING LIKE AN I.
IT IS REALLY QUITE BEAUTIFUL & APPEARS TO BE OLDER. |
