Subject:Granger Oil Painting
Message:I have a painting which says it is an original oil painting. It is signed Granger on the front of the painting and on the back it says all rights reserved to the W.T. Burger Co. It also says that Mr. Granger painted this "Floral" painting self studying in New York. I did a little self research on the name Granger. I foun that there was a Charles Henry Granger who was born in Saco, Maine. Granger was said to be an itinerant pinter who at times was also a poet, music teacher, sculptor and draftsman. He did spend time in New York as well as Portsmith, New Hampshire and Boston. It is said that he is supposed to have executed 187 o 250 oil paintings but only fourty one of his works has been located. I am just wondering how I would figure out if they were one in the same man?
