APRIL
Get driven to abstraction this April with Visual Music, the landmark exhibition the LA Weekly heralded as "a series of deeply affecting … audio-visual experiences that have seldom been made so available and are unlikely to be collected in one space again."
Concurrent events include Sight and Sound, an abstract painting and drawing class, an Art Talk with MOCA Director Jeremy Strick, and the next installments of the performance series Visual Music: SEE HEAR NOW!, including David Rosenboom's piano masterpiece Bell Solaris brought to the stage with a richly layered choreography by Travis Preston. Also on deck this month: Artist Olafur Eliasson (of the Tate's Weather Project fame) speaks on his current work; photographer Paul Jasmin signs his new book; and Zucca Ristorante chef Ace Still shares gourmet cooking secrets. |
