I spoke to my mom today and got more info on Lajo.
His last name is (not sure of the spelling) CYMBALSKI and he was from North Bay Ontario.
The gallery was at 18 Cumberland Ave.
The house they lived in across from Upper Canada Collage was originally owned by George Eaton.
They then moved to the house on Killbeary, then to Burton Ave, then an apartment on Bloor.
The last we herd was that they had a daughter and moved to either the USA or to his wife's home land of Spain.
If I remember correctly the print that looks like a morning scene is called MISTY.
Lajo also used to do his work with pallet knife which is why his paintings had a very rough texture to them.
Thats about all I and my mom can remember.
I don't know if any of you have ever heard of the artist Alvin S. English.
I can't seem to find anything on the internet about him.
If anybody has heard of him and is interested in a print or original please feel free to contact me, my mom is planning to move soon and can't take all the paintings with her.
Keep in touch.
