How does the appraisal look? Is it worth it? I have a painting by an artist signed as " Carosi" which WT Burger purchased in Italy in 1961. When I contacted them they were helpful. They told me the first initial was A., though they didn't have the first name, and read me a brief biographical description of the painter. They also offered to send me a brief biographical certificate, which I accepted.

The problem lies in that there is a listed artist by the name of Alberto Corasi (1891-1967) born in Rome, whose works at auction go in the low thousands of dollars. The "A Corasi they describe was born in the Naples area. Will their appraisal rectify the mystery of whether their A. Coras is in fact Alberto Corasi Thanks.
